Task description:For this task we had to make our own taha and I choose to make my own taha tinana.I learnt how to say I like playing netball in New Zealand sign language .

Task description : For this task we had to go on a New Zealand sign language dictionary where we found out how to say 3 different sports in sign language.We learnt who to say the 3 different sports in sign language to celebrate New Zealand sign language week.

Reading - The promise

Task description:For this task we had to read a book called the promise.The book was about 5 people who had to stay in a bunker because there was a explosion and there was some toxic gas.Then we had to do a activity where we had 11 items and had to put it in the order you would use it in and why.

Task description:For this task we had to make our own Te whare tapa wha.I chosee to make taha tinana and learn how to say different sports in sign language.

Maths

Task description : For this task we had to watch a video about a myth and legend and then we had to answer some maths questions using roman numerals.We also had to make 20 questions in roman numerals we also had to get a buddy who would answer the questions.My favourite part of this task was learning about roman numerals.

Reading - Eleven

Task description: For this task we had to read a book called eleven.After we read the book we had to write of summery of what the book was about.We also had to find out the verbs,adjective , adverb , preposition and noun.Then we had to infer what was happening in 2 photos.We also wrote down what we learnt as an 11 yr old.

Task description:For this task we had to learn how to write my name is and finger spell our name in sign language.

Biosphere 2

Task description:For this task we had to watch a video about Biosphere 2 .After we watched the video we had to write a summary of what is biosphere 2.Then we had to answer a few questions that was on the whiteboard.I really enjoyed this task and learning about how scientist tried to recreate earth.

Special Assembly

Today was another special assembly.Today we had a special assembly because and we had two special visitor their names where Joseph Parker and Elizabeth Parker. If didn't know who Joseph Parker is He a professional New Zealand Boxer.He came to deliver a motivational speech to Pt England School he told us the most important things that he learnt in well being a boxer.The first thing he said was "believe in yourself"He said that if you want to do something you have to believe that you can do that thing.The second thing he said was "Nothing beats hard work" That means that when you work hard for something, it'll pay off with your personal life, your career and other things that you can name.Then after that we had Duffy certificates and him and his sister help hand the certificates out.Then next  thing that we did was we sang a Matariki song .We were all new to the Matariki song but tried our best to sing along with the choir.Then Mr Burt reminding the main notices of the assembly and then we ended our assembly.

Reading

Task description:For this task we had to watch a video about Moui and the sun. Moui and the sun is a Maori Myth and legend.The story is about how the sun was moving to fast during the day time and they mostly only saw the dark.So Moui and his brothers decided to make a strong rope out of flax and prayed that it was strong enough and then they went to where the  sun rose up and held the sun down with the rope.Then we had to write what was important about the story.
