Topic 3 :Earthworms
What I know about Earthworms?
- I know earthworms live in the dirt
- Earthworms have no bones
- Earthworms are slimy
What I know about earthworms now?
- When earthworms dig in the soil they contract and relax their bodys
- Earthworms are hermaphrodite
(Meaning they are both genders in one body)
- Earthworms are very good for the soil because they help
give the soil air
- If you mix mustard powder and water and pour
it on dirt it will irritate
the earthworms and make the earthworms come to the surface
- Earthworms come to the surface when it is raining
(Because the holes they make will close up)
- Every earthworm has a clitellum and that is were
they carry their eggs
- Earthworms can carry 1-20 eggs in their clitellum
- Earthworms are full with a fluid called coelomic
